I have been in the RC industry for about 30 years now. I have been through a lot, have seen a lot, and it never seems to amaze me what is next to come around the corner. I have been a competitive racer, hobby shop owner, race track owner, OEM motor builder, importer, distributor, and finally working with Tekin. NOW I am back to build my old company back up.

My first major race was the first ever Cleveland Indoor Championship Race. I raced at quite a few of them and I did pretty good. When I first got started in RC we did not know what matched batteries were. We used the old boxed-style radios, and there were only two classes of racing at that time.
12th scale on-road and 1/8th scale gas on-road.

I have had great opportunities in this industry. I have had 3 articles written about me in the magazines, had the biggest indoor banked oval track in the state of Ohio, and had the biggest full time hobby shop/off-road track in the state of Ohio. I had the distinction of building some of the best stock motors in the business. I am remembered as the only company who sponsored Chris Bing with Scooters Motorworks motors when he won the ROAR off-Road nationals. Over the years I have helped some of the best known drivers out there today: Todd Hodge, Chris Bing, Dave Montgomery, Brian Dunbar, Jon Orr, and Jimmy Babcock to name just a few.

I have always been able to field great race teams, and I take pride in that. Team driver Brian Dunbar placed 2nd at the IFMAR Off-Road Worlds while team driver Jon Orr had three top-three finishes at the IFMAR On-Road Worlds. My drivers have won numerous ROAR National titles and more local events than you can possibility count.

I bring all of this with me as I set up my old company Scooters Motorworks and again will be looking for the right drivers to work with once again.
